LIFE CLERIC TAV

Baldur's Gate 3 is, in my opinion, one of the best told stories of the 21st Century, and after my first playthrough I thought "I have to make something from this". Looking over the different armor types, the Adamantine Splint seemed the easiest (relatively speaking) to replicate from real-world materials. I also chose pieces like the Studded Shield and Wapira's Crown.

I believe the physics behind titanium inspired the ability “Intense Adamantine Backlash”, which gives a -1 penalty to hit when attackers hit the wearer in the game. This ability closely mirrors how titanium armor works in real life.

Titanium absorbs shock differently, and reflects impact more strongly than steel, while being both lighter and stronger than steel of the same thickness. Buhurt fighters frequently use it, and titanium armor reflects impact more profoundly than steel in that arena.

This is also my first fully self-made cosplay, so making the cosplay out of familiar materials was a fun challenge!
